Tara Koehler

We should aspire for everyone in our educational community to grasp the impact of understanding diverse viewpoints, embracing kindness, and nurturing empathy.

With over two decades of experience in the field of education in her current district, Tara has established a distinguished career as an educator. Serving as a professional development specialist, Tara’s unwavering mission revolves around inspiring educators to seamlessly integrate 21st-century skills into her STEAM instructional practices.

Tara firmly believes that students thrive when actively engaged in their learning experiences, prioritizing hands-on participation over mere instruction. Her approach emphasizes the rejection of a one-size-fits-all model in favor of fostering personalized, dynamic learning environments.

Collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity constitute the cornerstones of effective education, and Tara collaborates closely with teachers to craft authentic learning opportunities for her students. Her aim is to empower educators to design experiences that foster the development of these essential skills.

Despite Tara’s extensive experience as an educator, she maintains an unyielding commitment to personal and professional growth, perpetually embracing the role of a lifelong learner.

Tara has had the privilege of sharing her expertise at renowned educational events, including the ISTE Creative Constructor Lab in 2020, and as a presenter at the NYSCATE Annual Conference for consecutive years from 2020 to 2023.
