Dr. Sunaina Sharma

Teaching is all about fueling curiosity through constant inquiry and partnering with our learners to embark on a journey of exploration, so we can uncover the answers together.

Dr. Sunaina Sharma has been a secondary teacher for over 20 years and an in-school program leader for nearly a decade. She strives to put the learner’s needs at the forefront of all program planning, classroom teaching, and professional learning so that students are engaged in their learning. In order to enhance student engagement, she leans in to hear what students say and do in order to capture their voices. This allows her students to be active participants in the construction of the classroom while allowing her to use inquiry to inform her teaching practice. Her classroom inquiries have led her to change how she and her students use technology, modify how students present to the class and reimagine the process in which students complete evaluations. She has presented to schools and districts as well as nationally and internationally. She also is an instructor in a Bachelor of Education program where she is able to share her classroom experiences with future educators in an effort to inspire them to ask questions and inquire to find the answers.
