Melissa Pouw

Melissa Pouw is in her eleventh year as an administrator in Ontario, Canada, leading her fourth school community having a total of twenty-two years in education. She has facilitated math workshops for administrators, been a recurring guest presenter for new principal candidates, and has published articles for Principal Connections, a publication for administrators. Melissa continues to be a mentor for new to role principals. 

She embodies the belief that a good administrator is a teacher first – always.  She continues to push the boundaries of engagement and innovation in instructional practice. She mentors and models for her staff, pushing her own understanding of educational pedagogy and is constantly evolving to effectively motivate and promote the voices of all.
