Anthony J. Annunziato, Ed.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Administrative and Instructional Leadership at St. John’s University, where he teaches and mentors in the doctoral program.  Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member at St. John’s University, Dr. Annunziato served in public schools for 27 years, eight as Superintendent of Schools on Long Island, NY.  He has served as an Assistant Superintendent for Business, High School Principal and Social Studies Teacher.  Dr. Annunziato has extensive experience as an Adjunct Lecturer in the School Leadership program at State University of New York at Stony Brook.  Among his research interests are the financial sustainability of public education, principal preparation in rural areas and the preparation of school superintendents. Dr. Annunziato is also an educational consultant who serves as a staff developer and mentor for aspiring educational leaders. Dr. Annunziato holds an Ed.D. in and Ed.M. in Educational Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University.  He also holds an M.S.Ed. in Social Studies Education and B.A. in History from City University of New York at Queens College.
