Brian is currently in his 26th year of teaching high school social studies. While teaching in both an American public high school in Morton, Illinois and an international private secondary school near Geneva, Switzerland, Brian has taught thousands of students from all over the world in the subjects of United States and world history, sociology, morals and ethics in philosophy, as well as civics. Brian also served as a soccer/football coach at both Morton High School and College du Leman Secondary School during his tenure at both schools. He received his bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his master’s degree in educational administration from Illinois State University. Outside of being a classroom teacher, Brian has also worked as an adjunct professor at Illinois State University working with student teachers during their classroom experiences. Aside from this, Brian also ran as a candidate in the 2018 Illinois 18th District U.S. Congressional Primary Election. His campaign emphasis was on educational reform and advocating for policies to help mend a broken political system that has added to political and cultural division. Brian is also the co-host of the political and educational podcast 4 A Better Tomorrow. Brian resides in Dunlap, IL with his wife Joni and their twin daughters, Taylor and Madison.
